Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced SMT Production professional to manage and oversee surface mount technology operations on the shop floor, ensuring efficient, high-quality PCB assembly in line with production targets and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor SMT line equipment including Pick & Place machines, Stencil Printers, Reflow Ovens, AOI, and SPI systems
• Plan and execute daily SMT production schedules to meet output and delivery targets
• Perform machine setup, program changeovers, and feeder loading as per BOM/work order
• Conduct first article inspection (FAI) and ensure process parameters are within specification
• Monitor solder paste printing, component placement accuracy, and reflow profiles
• Identify and troubleshoot defects (tombstoning, bridging, misalignment, cold joints, etc.)
• Ensure compliance with internal quality standards
• Maintain SMT line documentation: production reports, downtime logs, rejection analysis
• Coordinate with Quality, Maintenance, and Planning teams to minimize downtime
• Implement 5S, Lean Manufacturing, and continuous improvement initiatives
• Train and guide line operators on machine handling and safety practices
• Ensure adherence to ESD and safety protocols on the shop floor

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Diploma/B.E./B.Tech in Electronics, Electrical, or related field
• Hands-on experience with SMT machines (e.g., Panasonic)
• Strong understanding of PCB assembly processes and SMT defects
• Good analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills
• Ability to work in shifts and manage a production team
