About the Role:-

We are looking for an experienced Senior Accountant with proven hands-on accounting experience specifically within the Perfume, Fragrance or Perfumery Manufacturing industry.

The ideal candidate must have worked in a fragrance/perfume manufacturing company and should understand accounting related to manufacturing operations, raw materials, production, finished goods, inventory, costing, suppliers, customers and financial reporting.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage complete day-to-day accounting and finance operations for a fragrance manufacturing business.
• Maintain accurate books of accounts, ledgers and financial records.
• Handle Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), supplier payments, customer collections and reconciliations.
• Manage accounting related to raw materials, packaging materials, production and finished goods.
• Handle inventory accounting, stock reconciliation and inventory-related adjustments.
• Assist with manufacturing costing, material consumption, production expenses and cost analysis.
• Prepare monthly P&L, Balance Sheet, Trial Balance, MIS and management reports.
• Perform bank, customer, supplier, vendor and ledger reconciliations.
• Monitor receivables, payables, expenses, inventory and working capital.
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting and cash-flow management.
• Ensure proper accounting documentation and adherence to internal financial controls.
• Handle statutory and tax-related accounting and compliance requirements.
• Coordinate with auditors, consultants, banks, suppliers and other external stakeholders.
• Identify accounting discrepancies and ensure timely resolution.
• Support management with financial analysis and other finance-related requirements.

Mandatory Requirements:-

• 5+ years of relevant accounting experience.
• Mandatory: Previous hands-on experience working in a Perfume / Fragrance / Perfumery Manufacturing company.
• Experience in manufacturing accounting and inventory accounting.
• Practical understanding of raw materials, production, finished goods and manufacturing costs.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting and reconciliations.
• Experience handling AP, AR, GL, bank reconciliation and month-end closing.
• Experience with ERP/accounting software.
• Strong MS Excel skills.
• Knowledge of VAT and statutory/tax compliance.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Candidates currently based in India with relevant perfume/fragrance manufacturing experience are preferred.

Education

• Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce or related field preferred.
• M.Com / MBA Finance / equivalent qualifications will be considered.
• Relevant professional accounting qualifications will be an advantage.
