About the Role

We are looking for enthusiastic and customer-focused Retail Associates to join Sports Yard.

The role combines customer-facing sales and stockroom operations, supporting customers on the retail floor while ensuring products are organised, replenished and readily available. This is an excellent opportunity for freshers and individuals looking to build a career in sports retail.

Key Responsibilities

Customer & Sales

• Assist customers with product selection and provide a positive shopping experience.
• Understand customer requirements and recommend relevant products.
• Support the team in achieving store sales and customer service objectives.
• Maintain product presentation and ensure the retail floor is customer-ready.
• Develop good product knowledge across sports, footwear and apparel.
• Support day-to-day store and floor operations.

Stockroom & Inventory

• Support day-to-day stockroom and inventory activities.
• Receive, organise and maintain products within the stockroom.
• Support stock movement between the stockroom and retail floor.
• Ensure products are stored systematically and are easily accessible.
• Support inventory checks and maintain stock accuracy.
• Assist with stock replenishment and ensure product availability on the retail floor.
• Handle physical stock responsibly and maintain an organised stockroom.

Store Operations

• Support the store team with daily operational requirements.
• Coordinate with the Floor Manager and other team members to ensure smooth store functioning.
• Maintain a clean, organised, and customer-ready store environment.
• Follow store processes and guidelines for customer service, stock handling, and operations.

Requirements

• 0–3 years of retail or customer service experience.
• Freshers are welcome to apply.
• Good communication and customer-handling skills.
• Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
• Interest in sports, footwear and apparel.
• Good organisational skills and attention to detail.
• Comfortable with physical stock-handling activities.
• Basic understanding of retail and inventory processes.
• Customer-focused and comfortable working in a fast-paced retail environment.
• Weekend and rotational shift availability is mandatory.
