Job Description
A reservation staff member (or reservationist) manages booking requests, answers customer inquiries, and processes payments for hospitality, travel, or service-based businesses.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage Bookings: Answer phone calls, emails, and online chats to process new reservations, modifications, and cancellations accurately.
- Customer Service: Answer questions regarding rates, availability, amenities, and local attractions with a polite and helpful attitude.
- Process Payments: Collect deposits, record billing information securely, and handle credit card transactions.
- Sales and Up-selling: Promote special packages, upgraded options, or additional services to maximize revenue.
- Cross-Department Communication: Coordinate with the front desk, housekeeping, or sales teams to ensure smooth guest arrivals and special requests.
Requirements & Skills
- Education: Diploma Hotel Management
- Experience: Previous experience in customer service, hospitality, or front desk operations.
