Job Description Quality Inspector (Fresher)

Role Purpose
Support the inspection of aerospace components to verify compliance with engineering drawings, specifications, and quality requirements under the guidance of senior inspectors.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with incoming, in-process, and final inspection of components.
• Read engineering drawings and understand dimensions, tolerances, and basic GD&T.
• Use vernier calipers, micrometers, height gauges, and other measuring instruments after training.
• Inspect components for dimensional accuracy, surface finish, burrs, damage, and visual defects.
• Record actual inspection results accurately in approved formats.
• Support CMM inspection and First Article Inspection (FAI) documentation.
• Verify component identification, drawing revision, and material traceability.
• Identify and report nonconforming parts; maintain segregation as instructed.
• Check instrument calibration status before use.
• Follow safety, 5S, FOD prevention, and component handling requirements.

Required Skills

• Basic knowledge of engineering drawings, manufacturing processes, and metrology.
• Attention to detail and accuracy in measurements and records.
• Basic computer and MS Excel skills.
• Willingness to learn aerospace inspection practices and work in shifts.
• Good communication, discipline, and teamwork.
