Walk-in || Purchase Executive

A Purchase Executive in a commercial hospital manages the end-to-end procurement of medical equipment, pharmaceuticals, consumables, and general supplies. They source vendors, negotiate prices, maintain inventory levels, and process purchase orders to ensure high-quality patient care standards are met while minimizing costs and preventing supply chain disruptions.

Key Responsibilities

• Procurement: Handle end-to-end purchasing of medical consumables, implants, pharmacy drugs, and non-medical items (housekeeping, IT, stationery).
• Vendor Management: Evaluate, negotiate, and establish annual rate contracts with reliable suppliers to ensure cost-efficiency.
• Inventory Control: Monitor stock levels of critical medical supplies in coordination with the central store. Avoid both overstocking and stock-outs.
• Compliance & Quality: Ensure all purchased items meet NABH and healthcare quality standards and regulatory requirements (e.g., GST billing).
• ERP Management: Generate Purchase Orders (POs) and update procurement data accurately in the hospitals Hospital Management Information System
• Invoice Verification: Process supplier bills by matching them with Purchase Orders and Delivery Challans to support the accounts and finance teams.
