Role & responsibilities

• Collect blood samples safely from patients.
• Verify patient identity and test details.
• Label and transport samples correctly.
• Follow proper infection control and safety procedures.
• Handle blood collection tubes and equipment properly.
• Maintain accurate sample collection records.
• Coordinate with the laboratory for timely sample processing.
• Handle difficult/paediatric blood collections carefully.
• Maintain cleanliness and proper disposal of biomedical waste.
