- Make outbound calls to leads generated via digital marketing, education fairs, walk-ins, and referrals; handle inbound inquiries promptly
- Counsel students/parents on country, university, and course selection based on academic profile, budget, and career goals
- Explain admission requirements, tuition fees, living costs, scholarships, intakes, and visa processes clearly and accurately
- Handle objections related to cost, safety, and visa concerns with confidence and empathy
- Convert leads into registrations/enrollments and achieve assigned daily/weekly/monthly targets
- Schedule and confirm appointments with senior counselors for detailed profile evaluation
- Maintain accurate and updated records of every interaction in the CRM system
- Ensure consistent, timely follow-ups with leads at every stage of the funnel
- Coordinate with the admissions/visa processing team for smooth handover post-conversion
- Share regular reports on calls made, conversions, and pipeline status with the reporting manager
- Stay updated on university offers, intake deadlines, and course/policy changes across partner countries
Required Skills & Competencies

- Strong persuasion and objection-handling ability
- Working knowledge of study-abroad processes (visa, IELTS/TOEFL/PTE, university admissions)
- Proficiency in CRM tools and basic MS Office/Excel
- Target-driven mindset with the ability to work under pressure
- Good listening skills and empathy to understand student/parent concerns
- Multilingual ability preferred (regional language + English/Hindi)
Qualifications & Experience
- Graduate in any discipline (preferred: Business, Marketing, or related field)
- 03 years of experience in telesales, inside sales, or education counseling (freshers with strong communication skills may also apply)
- Prior experience in EdTech, study abroad consultancy, or BPO/telesales preferred
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
- Number of calls made/received per day
- Lead-to-registration conversion rate
- Follow-up adherence and lead nurturing quality

Preferred candidate profile :
- Graduate in any stream; preference for Business Administration, Marketing, Psychology, or International Relations
- Candidates with a study-abroad background themselves (returned students) are a strong plus — they bring authentic, relatable insight
Experience
- 6 months–3 years in telesales, inside sales, EdTech, BPO/voice process, or education counseling
- Prior exposure to study abroad, immigration consultancy, or international admissions is highly preferred
- Freshers with excellent communication and a genuine interest in international education can also be considered
Communication & Language
- Fluent, confident spoken English (mandatory)
- Proficiency in Hindi and/or regional languages (depending on target student demographic)
- Neutral accent with good phone etiquette; comfortable with high call volumes
Personality Traits
- High energy, persuasive, and resilient to rejection (cold-calling involves frequent "no's")
- Empathetic listener — able to sense parental anxiety around cost/safety and address it calmly
- Target-driven and self-motivated, comfortable with incentive-linked pay structures
- Detail-oriented for accurate CRM logging and document tracking
