Job Summary:

We are looking for detail-oriented and enthusiastic freshers to join our Rights and Permissions team. The candidate will be responsible for obtaining permissions from copyright holders to use text, images, photographs, and other content in publishing projects. The role requires good communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to coordinate with internal teams and external stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

• Identify copyright holders and obtain permissions to use text, images, photographs, and other published content.
• Send permission requests to authors, publishers, image agencies, and copyright holders.
• Follow up on pending permission requests and maintain timely communication.
• Maintain accurate records of permissions, approvals, licenses, and related documents.
• Review permission terms and conditions to ensure compliance with copyright requirements.
• Coordinate with editorial, production, and project management teams to meet publishing deadlines.
• Update databases and tracking sheets with permission status and related information.
• Ensure all permissions are obtained before content is published.
• Support the team in resolving copyright-related queries and documentation requirements.

Required Skills

• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Basic knowledge of MS Office, particularly MS Excel and Word.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Good email writing and follow-up skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
• Willingness to learn copyright, licensing, and publishing processes.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
