About this role
Role & responsibilities Key responsibilities:
Assess nutritional needs Understand the client’s health, lifestyle, eating habits, and dietary requirements.
Create diet plans – Prepare personalized meal plans based on health goals, preferences, and nutritional needs.
Provide nutrition counselling – Educate clients about healthy eating, portion sizes, nutrients, and food choices.
Monitor progress – Track weight, diet, lifestyle changes, and overall progress and modify plans when required.
Maintain client records – Document consultations, diet plans, follow-ups, and progress.
Support specific health goals – Help with weight management, fitness nutrition, balanced diets, and nutrition-related lifestyle changes.
Food and nutrition education – Explain the benefits of proteins, carbohydrates, fats, vitamins, minerals, hydration, etc.
Coordinate with healthcare professionals – When appropriate, work with doctors and other healthcare professionals, particularly for clients with medical conditions.
Stay updated – Keep knowledge current regarding nutrition research, dietary guidelines, and evidence-based practices.
Follow professional ethics – Protect client confidentiality and provide safe, responsible nutrition advice.
