About this role
- Prepare accurate product cost sheets based on raw material, machining, tooling, grinding and other process costs.
- Calculate raw material consumption, component weight, material yield and scrap percentage.
- Calculate machining cost using cycle time, setup time and machine-hour rates.
- Analyze customer RFQs, engineering drawings and manufacturing requirements.
- Obtain and evaluate supplier quotations and subcontracting costs.
- Prepare customer quotations and support commercial negotiations.
- Identify cost-reduction opportunities and maintain updated costing records for new and existing products.
- Manage new product development from drawing feasibility to prototype, trials, PPAP and SOP.
- Review engineering drawings, GD&T, material specifications and manufacturing feasibility.
- Prepare process flow, operation sequence and machining plans.
- Coordinate CNC trials, tooling, fixture development and pilot production.
- Coordinate with Production, Quality, Purchase and customers for timely product development.
- Prepare and coordinate APQP, PPAP, PFMEA and Control Plan documentation.
- Identify cost-reduction opportunities and improve cycle time, material utilization and process efficiency.
