Multimedia Designer duties and responsibilities

The primary responsibility of a Multimedia Designer is to produce content that accomplishes the goal of each project they receive. Some common Multimedia Designer job duties include:

• Meeting with technicians, directors, business analysts, marketing specialists and other professionals to set the project scope and brainstorm ideas
• Becoming familiar with the goal of the project and researching as needed to understand the assignment
• Producing mock-ups and storyboards that provide a rough idea about the finished working design
• Utilizing animation software, design tools and audio recording equipment to produce audio recordings and visual imagery
• Seeking feedback from stakeholders after the initial design is complete
• Revising work based on input from stakeholders in a timely manner
• Providing regular progress updates for the design team
• Staying up-to-date on the latest design trends and advancements in media techniques
