Role & responsibilities

Develop, optimize, and scale up cost-effective, robust, and commercially viable synthetic processes for Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients (APIs).
Conduct laboratory experiments for route scouting, process optimization, impurity profiling, and reaction troubleshooting.
Execute technology transfer activities from R&D to pilot plant and commercial manufacturing.
Maintain accurate experimental records, laboratory notebooks, and technical reports in compliance with GLP and data integrity requirements.
Perform literature searches, patent analysis, and scientific evaluations to support process development projects.
Identify and implement process improvements to enhance yield, quality, safety, and manufacturing efficiency.
Collaborate with Analytical R&D, Production, QA, QC, EHS, and Engineering teams for seamless project execution.
Investigate process deviations and recommend corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
Ensure safe handling of hazardous chemicals and strict adherence to laboratory safety protocols.
Support process validation, process characterization, and scale-up studies for commercial manufacturing.
Prepare technical documents, development reports, risk assessments, and technology transfer dossiers.
Ensure compliance with cGMP, GLP, ICH guidelines, and applicable regulatory requirements.
Participate in customer audits and regulatory inspections by providing technical support and documentation.
Stay updated with emerging technologies, scientific literature, and regulatory expectations in API process development.
Demonstrate strong analytical thinking, problem-solving ability, teamwork, and a continuous improvement mindset to deliver projects within timelines.
