Job Description Mobilizer

Role Purpose

The Mobilizer will be responsible for student and community outreach, enrolment and engagement, students across trades, alumni and prospective beneficiaries from the surrounding community.

Key Responsibilities

A. Student Mobilization

• Mobilize final-year students across all relevant trades.
• Conduct classroom and group-level orientation sessions.
• Explain programme objectives, benefits, eligibility and career opportunities.
• Maintain student databases and mobilization trackers.
• Coordinate with faculty and management for student outreach.

B. Alumni Engagement

• Build and maintain an alumni database.
• Engage alumni through calls, meetings, WhatsApp and other communication channels.
• Mobilize alumni for employment opportunities, industry interactions and programme activities.
• Collect alumni career progression and employment information.
• Identify successful alumni who can serve as role models/industry connectors.

C. Community Mobilization

• Conduct outreach in surrounding communities to identify potential candidates.
• Organize awareness meetings, community events and counselling sessions.
• Engage parents, community leaders and relevant local stakeholders.
• Generate awareness regarding vocational education, employment and apprenticeship opportunities.

D. Conversion & Follow-up

• Conduct one-to-one counselling and follow-up with prospective students.
• Track leads from initial contact through enrolment/participation.
• Follow up with students to improve attendance and retention.
• Coordinate with the Trainer, Counsellor and Project Coordinator for student-level interventions.

E. Documentation

• Maintain daily/weekly mobilization reports.
• Maintain student, alumni and community databases.
• Record outreach activities, leads, conversions and follow-ups.
• Submit regular reports to the Project Coordinator.

Key Deliverables / KPIs

• Number of students reached across trades.
• Final-year student enrolment/participation.
• Alumni database coverage and engagement.
• Number of community outreach activities.
• Qualified leads generated and converted.
• Student attendance and retention support.
• Timely and accurate mobilization MIS.
• Number of employment/apprenticeship opportunities communicated to students.

Qualification & Experience

• Graduate preferred; 12th pass with relevant field experience may also be considered.
• 2–5 years of experience in mobilization, community outreach, youth engagement, counselling or skilling programmes.
• Experience working with ITIs, government institutions or vocational training programmes preferred.
• Good local-language communication skills.
• Comfortable with extensive field travel and community engagement.
