Methods Engineer Aerospace

Department: Methods / Manufacturing Engineering

Qualification: Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering
Experience: 25 years in Aerospace / Precision Manufacturing preferred

Key Responsibilities

• Review customer drawings, 3D models, specifications and GD&T requirements.
• Prepare manufacturing process plans, route cards, operation sequences and work instructions.
• Perform manufacturability / DFM review for aerospace components.
• Create and modify 3D models, manufacturing models and drawings using SolidWorks.
• Plan CNC machining setups, tooling, fixtures and inspection stages.
• Support new product development, first-off production and FAI activities.
• Coordinate with Production, Quality, CNC Programming and SCM teams.
• Resolve manufacturing/process-related shop-floor issues.
• Support root-cause analysis, corrective actions and process improvements.
• Ensure drawing, model and process revision/configuration control.

Required Skills

• Strong knowledge of SolidWorks
• Good understanding of CNC machining and manufacturing processes
• Engineering drawing and GD&T interpretation
• Jigs & fixtures / work-holding concepts
• Aerospace manufacturing documentation
• Knowledge of AS9100 / AS9102 will be an advantage
