Walk-in || Mechatronics Engineer

Role & responsibilities :

• Create 3D CAD models and drawings for the tower, trays, lid mechanism and plumbing manifold.
• Prototype parts using 3D printing (PETG), sheet metal and off-the-shelf components.
• Select and size motors, servos, pumps and valves; do basic load and torque calculations.
• Design for water-tightness, food-safe materials and easy cleaning.
• Prepare parts for moulding/sheet-metal production with vendors (DFM).
• Build and run mechanical tests (leak, drop, hinge life cycles).
• Maintain workshop tools and 3D printers.

• Develop and maintain firmware in C/C++ for ESP32-family microcontrollers.
• Design and review PCBs in KiCad; prepare BOMs and manufacturing files.
• Integrate sensors (humidity, temperature, soil moisture) and actuators (pumps, solenoid valves, LEDs, motors).
• Implement tier-to-tier communication (ESP-NOW) and hot-plug auto-addressing.
• Build test firmware and jigs for production QC.
• Debug hardware using oscilloscope, logic analyser and multimeter.
• Document designs and maintain code in Git.
