Electrical Maintenance Engineer Automotive Industry

Job Summary:
We are looking for an Electrical Maintenance Engineer with hands-on experience in automotive manufacturing/production plants. The candidate will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and improving electrical and automation systems to minimize machine downtime and ensure smooth production.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform preventive, predictive and breakdown maintenance of production equipment.
• Troubleshoot PLC, HMI, VFD, servo drives, motors, sensors and control panels.
• Diagnose electrical faults using electrical schematics and wiring diagrams.
• Troubleshoot and maintain automated production lines, conveyors and robotic systems.
• Handle AC/DC motors, contactors, relays, SMPS, MCC and control panels.
• Support Siemens / Allen Bradley / Mitsubishi PLC troubleshooting.
• Troubleshoot industrial robots such as Fanuc, ABB or KUKA.
• Identify root causes of recurring machine breakdowns and implement corrective actions.
• Support installation, commissioning and modification of electrical/automation equipment.
• Maintain maintenance records and downtime reports.
• Ensure compliance with electrical safety, LOTO and machine safety procedures.
• Coordinate with production, automation and mechanical maintenance teams.

• Basic knowledge of pneumatics/hydraulics

Preferred Automotive Experience

Candidates from Automotive OEM / Tier-1 / Manufacturing plants with experience in:

• Body Shop
• Paint Shop
• Assembly Shop
• Machine Shop
• Welding lines
• Press Shop
• Powertrain / Engine & Transmission plants

Education: Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech – Electrical / EEE / E&I / Mechatronics

Experience: 3–8 years in industrial/automotive electrical maintenance.
