Walk-in || Machine Shop Engineer

Roles and Responsibilities

• Plan and execute production activities on the shop floor to meet customer requirements.
  
• Ensure efficient use of resources, including manpower handling, CNC machines, VMC machine, VMC programming, CNC programming, setter activities, rejection control, shift planning, and OEE optimization.
  
• Implement Kaizen initiatives to improve productivity and reduce waste in machine shop operations.
  
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams for effective line balancing, machine scheduling, Poka Yoke implementation, cycle time reduction (CTR), and overall equipment effectiveness (OEE).
  
• Monitor quality standards by controlling defects per million opportunities (DPMO) and ensuring compliance with ISO 9001:2015 certification.
  

Desired Candidate Profile

• 7-10 years of experience as a Production Manager or similar role in a manufacturing industry setting.
  
• Diploma/B.Tech / B.E. degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field; knowledge of mechatronics an added advantage.
  
• Proven track record of implementing lean manufacturing principles such as 5S system maintenance and continuous improvement initiatives like kaizen events.
