Position: HVAC Designer

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced HVAC Designer to develop HVAC system designs for industrial, commercial, and building projects. The candidate will be responsible for preparing detailed drawings, layouts, calculations, and coordination with multidisciplinary teams to ensure compliance with project specifications and international standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare HVAC design drawings, layouts, and schematics using AutoCAD, Revit, or other design software.
• Design HVAC systems including chilled water, ventilation, air conditioning, heating, and smoke extraction systems.
• Perform cooling and heating load calculations.
• Develop duct routing, equipment layouts, and piping layouts.
• Prepare HVAC equipment schedules and material take-offs.
• Coordinate with Architectural, Structural, Electrical, and Plumbing disciplines.
• Ensure designs comply with ASHRAE, SMACNA, NFPA, and project specifications.
• Review vendor drawings and technical submittals.
• Participate in design reviews, meetings, and site coordination activities.
• Assist in resolving engineering and construction-related issues.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.
• 6-15 years of experience in HVAC design projects.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit MEP, HAP, or similar HVAC design software.
• Knowledge of international HVAC codes and standards.
• Good communication and coordination skills.

Preferred Skills

• Experience in commercial buildings, hospitals, data centers, or industrial projects.
• Knowledge of BIM modeling and clash detection.
• Familiarity with ASHRAE, SMACNA, and local design codes.
• Ability to work in a multidisciplinary engineering environment.
