Role & responsibilities

• Accurately post insurance, patient, EFT, and check payments into the billing system.
• Review and process Explanation of Benefits (EOBs) and Electronic Remittance Advices (ERAs).
• Reconcile posted payments with bank deposits and remittance reports.
• Identify and escalate denials, underpayments, overpayments, and payment discrepancies.
• Ensure timely and accurate adjustment posting in accordance with payer guidelines.
• Maintain productivity and quality standards while meeting turnaround times.
• Collaborate with billing, accounts receivable, and denial management teams to resolve payment issues.
• Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and organizational policies.
• Generate payment posting reports and assist with month-end reconciliation activities.
