About the Role
We are looking for a dedicated Plantation Executive to lead our sapling planting initiative. The role involves transporting saplings using a company-provided vehicle and planting them at locations designated by the Managing Director, ensuring proper planting techniques and follow-up care for healthy growth.
Key Responsibilities
Collect and transport saplings from the nursery/storage point to designated planting locations using the company vehicle
Plant saplings at sites identified and approved by the MD, following correct spacing, depth, and soil preparation practices
¢ Maintain a planting schedule and route plan in coordination with the MD's instructions
¢ Ensure saplings are handled carefully during transport to avoid damage
¢ Water, stake, and provide basic aftercare to newly planted saplings as needed
¢ Monitor survival rate of planted saplings and report on plant health periodically
¢ Maintain records of planting locations, quantities, dates, and photographs for tracking purposes
¢ Coordinate with local landowners/authorities where planting occurs on public or third-party land, if required
¢ Maintain the vehicle in good condition and ensure basic upkeep (fuel, cleanliness, minor checks)
¢ Procure or coordinate procurement of saplings, manure, and planting tools as required
¢ Follow safety practices while driving and working in outdoor/field conditions
Requirements
¢ Valid driving license (mandatory)
¢ Prior experience in gardening, horticulture, agriculture, or afforestation work preferred
¢ Basic knowledge of sapling care, soil types, and planting techniques
¢ Physically fit and willing to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
¢ Ability to travel to different locations as directed
¢ Basic literacy for maintaining planting records/logs
¢ Responsible, punctual, and able to work with minimal supervision
Preferred Skills
¢ Experience in tree plantation drives, CSR greening projects, or landscaping
¢ Familiarity with the local terrain/region
¢ Basic understanding of environmental or afforestation programs
