Walk-in || Environmental Health and Safety Officer

Role & responsibilities

• Implement company EHS policies, procedures and statutory safety requirements.
• Conduct daily site safety inspections and identify unsafe acts and conditions.
• Conduct toolbox talks, safety induction and awareness training.
• Prepare and maintain HIRA, JSA and risk-assessment documentation.
• Monitor Permit-to-Work systems for electrical work, hot work, work at height and other hazardous activities.
• Ensure proper usage of PPE by employees, contractors and visitors.
• Inspect lifting tools, electrical tools, fire extinguishers, scaffolding, ladders and other safety equipment.
• Maintain EHS registers, inspection reports, training records and statutory documentation.
• Investigate accidents, incidents and near misses and prepare corrective/preventive action reports.
• Conduct emergency drills and coordinate emergency preparedness activities.
• Monitor housekeeping, waste disposal and environmental compliance.
• Coordinate with project engineers, contractors and management for closure of safety observations.
• Support internal and external EHS audits.
• Ensure compliance with ISO 45001, ISO 14001 and applicable statutory regulations.
• Prepare weekly/monthly EHS performance reports.

Preferred candidate profile

• Minimum 3 years of relevant EHS/HSE experience
• Knowledge of industrial and electrical safety practices
• Experience in conducting toolbox talks and safety induction
• Knowledge of Permit to Work Hot Work, Height Work, Electrical Work and Confined Space
• Experience in HIRA/JSA and risk assessment
• Knowledge of PPE requirements and compliance
• Experience in incident/near-miss investigation and reporting
• Knowledge of emergency response and fire safety procedures
• Ability to conduct site safety inspections and audits
• Good documentation and reporting skills
• Working knowledge of ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 preferred
• Ability to coordinate with engineers, supervisors, contractors and workers
• Willingness to work at project/site locations when required
