JOB DESCRIPTION AUTOCAD DRAUGHTSMAN

Job Summary

We are looking for a detail-oriented and skilled AutoCAD Draughtsman with 1–2 years of experience in the real estate/construction industry. The candidate will be responsible for preparing, modifying, and maintaining accurate 2D AutoCAD drawings, floor plans, site layouts, elevations, sections, and construction drawings as per project requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare accurate 2D AutoCAD drawings for residential and commercial real estate projects.
• Prepare and modify site plans, floor plans, elevations, sections, layouts, and working drawings.
• Convert architectural and engineering concepts, sketches, and site measurements into detailed AutoCAD drawings.
• Revise drawings based on inputs from architects, engineers, consultants, and project teams.
• Prepare drawings as per approved design specifications and project requirements.
• Assist in preparing drawings required for construction and statutory approvals.
• Take and interpret site measurements and incorporate them accurately into drawings.
• Coordinate with the architect, civil engineer, project manager, and site team for drawing requirements and clarifications.
• Prepare as-built drawings based on actual site execution.
• Maintain proper drawing standards, layers, dimensions, scales, title blocks, and revision history.
• Ensure accuracy and consistency of all drawings before submission.
• Maintain proper records of drawings and ensure the latest revisions are available to the concerned teams.
• Provide drawing support to the site team during project execution.
• Assist in preparing drawings and documentation for project presentations and approvals.
• Ensure drawings are completed within the required project timelines.

Required Skills

• Strong working knowledge of AutoCAD 2D.
• Good understanding of architectural and civil construction drawings.
• Knowledge of floor plans, elevations, sections, site layouts, and working drawings.
• Ability to understand dimensions, scales, layers, blocks, annotations, and drawing standards.
• Basic knowledge of construction methods and building components.
• Ability to read architectural and engineering drawings.
• Good knowledge of MS Office.
• Knowledge of SketchUp, Revit, Civil 3D or other drafting software will be an added advantage.
• Good attention to detail and accuracy.
• Good coordination and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently as well as with project teams.

Educational Qualification

• Diploma / ITI in Civil Draftsmanship, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or a related field.
• Candidates with relevant certification in AutoCAD may also be considered.

Experience

• 1–2 years of relevant experience in AutoCAD drafting.
• Experience in real estate, construction, architecture, or infrastructure projects will be preferred. Similar real-estate drafting roles commonly emphasize 2D layouts, site plans, sections/elevations, revisions, site measurements, and coordination with project teams.Role & responsibilities
