Role & responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

1. Anaesthesiologist should have expertise in paediatric anaesthesia including neonates and geriatric anaesthesia.
2. Trained in peribulbar eye blocks
3. Should be able to manage medical emergencies in hospital.
4. Pre-operative assessment
5. Choice and administration of anaesthesia
6. Airway and physiological management
7. Management of ophthalmology-specific risks
8. Patient positioning and surgical coordination
9. Intra-operative emergency management
10. Post-operative care
11. Safety and teamwork
