1. Job Purpose

To develop, optimize, simulate, and validate CNC machining programs for aero engine

components using NX CAM and VERICUT, ensuring machining accuracy, process reliability,

productivity, and compliance with aerospace quality requirements.

2. Key Responsibilities

• Develop and validate CNC programs using Siemens NX CAM for complex aero engine

components.

• Perform CAM programming for CNC turning, milling, and simultaneous 5-axis

machining operations.

• Generate efficient toolpaths for complex geometries, thin-wall components, and

precision-machined aerospace parts.

• Perform machine simulation, collision detection, and CNC program verification using

VERICUT.

• Conduct cutting-force analysis and optimize machining parameters using VERICUT

Force, where applicable.

• Work with CNC machines equipped with Siemens and MAZATROL controllers.
• Select appropriate cutting tools, tool holders, inserts, and machining strategies based on

component requirements.

• Optimize cycle time, tool life, surface finish, and material removal rates without

compromising component quality.

• Validate postprocessors and ensure correct output of CNC programs, including rotaryaxis movements and machine-specific codes.
• Troubleshoot machining issues, tool collisions, tool breakages, and simulation

discrepancies.

• Prepare and maintain setup sheets, tool lists, operation sheets, machining

documentation, and program revision records.

• Coordinate with manufacturing, tooling, quality, and process engineering teams to

resolve machining challenges.

• Support prove-out activities, first-off machining, and production trials.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives, Kaizen activities, and cost-reduction projects.
• Ensure compliance with aerospace manufacturing standards, traceability requirements,

and applicable engineering specifications.
