Walk-in || BIW Design Engineer(Siemens NX)

Job Description Body Engineering :

• Experience: 3-8 Years
  Location: Chennai
• Software: Siemens NX
• Notice Period : 0-30 Days preferred

Key Responsibilities

• Design and development of Automotive Body Engineering components including:
• Body-In-White (BIW)
• Underbody
• Upper Body
• Closures
• Wheel Housing
• Sills, Firewalls, Roof and Body Side Panels
• Create 3D CAD models and 2D manufacturing drawings using Siemens NX
• Develop BIW panels and assemblies meeting OEM product requirements.
• Participate in design reviews, DFM/DFA reviews and engineering change management activities.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams including CAE, Manufacturing, Packaging, Quality and Suppliers.
• Perform packaging studies, section analysis, clearance checks and clash analysis.
• Create and maintain BOMs, drawings and PLM releases.
• Support prototype, pilot build and production launch activities.
• Apply GD&T principles and ensure manufacturability and assembly feasibility.
• Support engineering change requests (ECR/ECN) and design validation activities.
