Walk-in || Assistant Manager

Role & responsibilities

• Lead and independently perform ASC 606 revenue accounting, including preparation and posting of manual journal entries (MJEs) for revenue recognition, accruals, provisions, and reclassifications.
• Oversee and review revenue allocation and deal reviews, ensuring accurate application of ASC 606 guidance and timely resolution of complex accounting matters.
• Prepare, review, and provide clear explanations for Balance Sheet reconciliations, supported by substantiated subledgers, rollforwards, and detailed waterfall/amortization schedules.
• Conduct Balance Sheet reviews and variance analysis (QoQ and YoY), identify drivers for movements, and document explanations for management and audit review.
• Own and support SOX compliance, including execution, review, and evidence of key controls related to revenue and balance sheet accounts.
• Prepare and support financial statement footnote disclosures and statutory reporting requirements, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and adherence to accounting standards.
• Administer, review, and analyze Trial Balance, Balance Sheet, and Profit & Loss accounts as part of periodend, quarterend, and yearend close activities.
• Guide, review, and mentor team members, providing technical direction, quality oversight, and timely feedback while ensuring adherence to close timelines and control requirements.
• Drive process improvements, automation, and report enhancements to improve efficiency, accuracy, and control across revenue and close processes.
• Prepare, update, and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and process documentation for revenue accounting and close activities, ensuring audit readiness and knowledge continuity.
• Prepare and review consolidated financial reports in line with statutory requirements and internal governance standards.
• Apply strong technical accounting judgment, analytical skills, and problemsolving capabilities to independently drive issues to closure and manage stakeholder expectations.
• Demonstrate advanced Excel, data analysis, and communication skills to document workings, analyze large datasets, and clearly communicate outcomes to internal and external stakeholders.
• Operate effectively as a handson Individual Contributor while collaborating with crossfunctional teams (Sales, Legal, FP&A, Operations, and Audit) and leading deliverables endtoend.

Preferred candidate profile

• CA / CPA / ACCA / MCom / MBA or equivalent degree with concentration in accounting subject.
• A thorough understanding of Revenue Accounting standards, specifically ASC 606 and IFRS 15.
• 5 to 8 years of experience in RTR domain, preferably within Revenue Accounting
