POSITION: ASSISTANT MANAGER

KEY REQUIREMENTS

• Minimum 7+ years of experience as an Assistant Manager or in a similar restaurant management position.
• Experience in a reputed international-standard restaurant or star hotel is preferred.
• Very fluent in International Standard English with excellent communication skills.
• Smart, well-presented and professionally groomed.
• Strong leadership, team-management and decision-making skills.
• Excellent customer service and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to work effectively under pressure during busy restaurant operations.
• Good knowledge of restaurant SOPs, service standards and daily operational procedures.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Supervise and coordinate restaurant staff, including waiters, captains and other service employees.
• Manage daily restaurant opening and closing procedures.
• Ensure consistently high standards of customer service and guest satisfaction.
• Handle customer feedback and resolve guest complaints professionally.
• Monitor food and beverage service quality and ensure proper service procedures are followed.
• Coordinate effectively between the kitchen and front-of-house teams.
• Prepare staff duty rosters and monitor attendance and punctuality.
• Train, guide and motivate new and existing employees.
• Monitor staff performance and maintain discipline and professional conduct.
• Ensure restaurant cleanliness, hygiene, safety and presentation standards are maintained.
• Monitor inventory and coordinate with stores and purchasing departments.
• Check stock availability and report shortages or operational requirements to management.
• Monitor cash handling, billing and POS operations.
• Assist management in achieving restaurant sales targets and controlling operating costs.
• Ensure all restaurant SOPs, company policies and operational procedures are properly followed.
• Handle staff-related issues and maintain a positive and professional working environment.
• Assist the Restaurant Manager during busy operating periods, special events and high-volume services.
• Prepare daily operational reports and other reports as required by management.
• Take full operational charge of the restaurant when the Restaurant Manager is unavailable.
• Coordinate with the Kitchen, Bar, FOH and other departments to ensure smooth restaurant operations.
• Support management in maintaining high standards of service, guest satisfaction and profitability.
