About the Role

STAQX is looking for enthusiastic and motivated individuals to join our Bar team across Bartender, Assistant Bartender and Barback positions. Whether you have experience crafting cocktails, are developing your bartending skills, or are looking to begin your career in beverage service, we welcome candidates with a passion for hospitality, a willingness to learn and a team-oriented approach.

1. Bartender

Roles & Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve cocktails, mocktails and other alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages as per recipes and quality standards.
• Maintain consistency in beverage preparation, presentation and portion control.
• Manage bar operations, including mise en place, stock monitoring and inventory coordination.
• Interact with guests, recommend beverages and maintain excellent service standards.
• Ensure bar cleanliness, hygiene, responsible alcohol service and compliance with operational procedures.

Candidate Requirements

• Previous bartending experience with knowledge of cocktails, spirits and beverage preparation.
• Good communication skills and a guest-focused approach.
• Knowledge of bar inventory, equipment and hygiene standards.
• Good grooming, attention to detail and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

2. Assistant Bartender

Roles & Responsibilities

• Assist the Bartender with beverage preparation, garnishing and timely service.
• Prepare basic cocktails, mocktails and other beverages as per standard recipes.
• Ensure the bar is stocked with ingredients, glassware, ice and other essentials.
• Assist with bar setup, closing duties, cleaning and inventory checks.
• Coordinate with the bar and service teams to ensure smooth operations.

Candidate Requirements

• Previous experience in a bar, restaurant or beverage service environment is preferred.
• Basic knowledge of spirits, cocktails, mocktails and bar equipment is an advantage.
• Willingness to learn, follow instructions and develop bartending skills.
• Good grooming, communication and teamwork skills.
• Candidates with approximately 1–6 years of relevant experience are encouraged to apply.

3. Barback

Roles & Responsibilities

• Support the bar team with stocking, replenishment and preparation of bar essentials.
• Ensure the availability of ice, glassware, garnishes, mixers and other supplies.
• Assist with cleaning and organising the bar area, equipment and storage spaces.
• Support bar opening and closing duties and maintain cleanliness throughout service.
• Assist Bartenders and Assistant Bartenders during busy service periods.

Candidate Requirements

• Freshers and candidates starting their careers in hospitality are welcome to apply.
• Interest in learning about beverages, bartending and bar operations.
• Positive attitude, physical stamina, attention to cleanliness and willingness to learn.
• Good grooming, teamwork and basic communication skills.
• Previous restaurant or hospitality experience is an advantage but not mandatory.
