Role & responsibilities

• Serve food and beverages to patients, visitors, doctors, and hospital staff.
• Take food orders and deliver meals accurately and on time.
• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of tables, trays, utensils, and service areas.
• Follow hospital food-safety and sanitation procedures.
• Handle patient meal requirements carefully, including special diets as instructed.
• Collect used plates and trays and dispose of waste properly.
• Coordinate with kitchen staff and nursing staff for meal distribution.
• Provide polite and respectful service to patients and visitors.
• Check that food trays contain the correct items before delivery.
• Report any food, hygiene, or service issues to the supervisor.
