Role & responsibilities
- Read drawings, GD&T and tolerances, and make programs (CAM and manual G-code)
- Work on 3-axis and 4-axis VMC machines (5-axis knowledge is an advantage)
- Decide the tools, fixtures and process plan for each job
- Approve the first piece and correct the program when needed
- Reduce cycle time, tool cost and rejection
- Guide operators and junior programmers
- Prepare setup sheets and process sheets for new jobs
- Follow safety rules and 5S
