Role Summary

We are looking for a fast, creative and detail oriented Video Editor who can turn raw footage and ideas into high retention short form videos. The ideal candidate understands why people stop scrolling, what keeps viewers watching and how strong editing supports reach, shares, saves and conversions.

Key Responsibilities

· Edit platform ready reels, shorts, advertisements, testimonials, interviews, explainers and campaign videos.

· Transform raw footage into engaging stories using strong openings, tight pacing, pattern interrupts and clear endings.

· Create edits that follow current platform behaviour while staying consistent with the brand voice and visual identity.

· Add captions, sound design, music, transitions, motion elements, colour correction and basic audio cleanup.

· Develop multiple opening hooks or edit variations for testing when required.

· Resize and adapt content for different formats, aspect ratios, placements and publishing platforms.

· Organise footage, project files, templates and exports using a clear and reliable file management system.

· Work closely with writers, designers, creators and the Content Head to meet content calendars and campaign deadlines.

· Review performance feedback and improve future edits based on watch time, retention, engagement and conversion signals.

· Complete quality checks for spelling, subtitles, branding, audio levels, export settings and platform specifications.

Required Skills and Experience

· Minimum 3 years of professional video editing experience with a strong short form portfolio.

· Should be familiar with one of the South Indian languages (Kannada/Telugu/ Tamil)

· Advanced proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro, including efficient timelines, colour workflows, audio editing and exports.

· Proven ability to edit high performing or viral style reels without copying other creators or weakening brand credibility.

· Strong understanding of hooks, storytelling, pacing, audience retention and mobile first viewing behaviour.

· Good judgement in selecting music, sound effects, B roll, typography and visual emphasis.

· Ability to manage multiple projects, accept feedback constructively and deliver consistently under tight timelines.

· Excellent attention to detail and working knowledge of copyright safe music, footage and asset usage.

Preferred Skills

· Working knowledge of After Effects, Photoshop, Audition or similar creative tools.

· Experience with performance marketing creatives, influencer content, branded content or multilingual subtitles.

· Basic understanding of cameras, lighting, codecs and social media analytics.

Language Requirement: Proficiency in at least one of the following languages is mandatory: Kannada, Telugu, or Tamil.

Success Measures

· Consistent, on time delivery with minimal technical errors or revision loops.

· Improvement in watch time, completion rate, replays, shares, saves and qualified engagement.

· Efficient reuse of footage and development of scalable editing templates and workflows.

· Strong creative collaboration and dependable execution across the monthly content calendar.
