About this role
Details:
Location: Chennai | Work from Office | Studio in Eldams road
Timing: 10:00 AM 6:30 PM
Working Days: Monday to Saturday
Salary: 3 lakhs to 4.25 lakhs per annum
Sundays & Festivals: Holiday
Role:
We are looking for a creative Video Editor who is technically strong but, more importantly, understands storytelling, content flow and what makes a video engaging.
Responsibilities:
- Edit Instagram Reels, branded content & influencer campaign videos
- Edit performance marketing videos, BTS content & podcasts
- Edit wedding videos and event films
- Work on both vertical & horizontal formats
- Understand scripts and briefs and convert them into engaging videos
- Select the right shots, pacing, music, transitions, graphics, subtitles, etc.
- Conceptualise and suggest creative improvements instead of simply following instructions
- Repurpose long-form content into short-form/social media formats
- Manage multiple projects and deliver within deadlines
Skills Required
- Strong proficiency in Premiere Pro / After Effects / Photoshop / Audition / DaVinci Resolve or equivalent
- Strong understanding of storytelling, pacing, hooks and audience retention
- Good creative sense and attention to detail
- Ability to independently identify what can be improved in an edit
- Experience with both social media and long-form video editing.
Portfolio/Showreel is mandatory.
We are looking for someone who can EDIT + THINK + CREATE, not just operate editing software.
