Video Editor

Video Editor (Full-time | Kolkata)

At Amistad, we're looking for someone who doesn't just cut footage but finds the story hiding in it.

If you can take raw material and turn it into something people want to watch (and rewatch), this might be for you.

What you'll be doing:

Editing high-quality video for social, ads, and campaigns. Fast, sharp, and aesthetic.

Delivering finished pieces in 9:16 for reels and stories, and 16:9 for YouTube, ads, and presentations

Adapting a single edit across formats without losing the story

Bringing a strong sense of visual rhythm, pacing, transitions, and sound

Using AI tools to speed up the work: captions, cleanup, upscaling, generative fills, and whatever comes next

Working across Premiere Pro, After Effects, Final Cut Pro, and mobile editors like CapCut and InShot

Collaborating with our strategy and design teams from concept to final export

What we're looking for:

A strong eye for aesthetics (this matters more than anything else)

Solid command of Premiere Pro or Final Cut Pro, plus comfort with app-based tools like CapCut

Genuine AI literacy. You know which tools help, which ones don't, and how to use them without it showing.

Ability to move between quick-turnaround reels and more structured storytelling edits

A good ear for music, sound design, and timing

Someone who enjoys being part of the process, not just the last step in it

Why this role

You'll work across brands and campaigns, turning raw footage into stories that actually land.

Location:Kolkata (remote, with occasional in-person meetings)

Compensation:20,000 to 25,000 per month (depending on skill, quality of work, and overall merit)
