Video Editor

We are looking for a highly creative and visually driven Video Editor & Motion Graphics Designer with a fresh, internet-first mindset. You live and breathe social media trends, understand fast-paced digital formats, and know how to hook an audience within the first three seconds. Role & responsibilities

1. Video Editing & Content Creation

• Edit high-engagement video content across platforms, including YouTube long-form, Instagram Reels, Shorts, and celebrity interview IPs.
• Maintain a sharp narrative flow, ensuring seamless pacing, sound design, and color grading that matches Pinkvilla's brand identity.
• Repurpose long-form content into punchy, viral short-form assets optimized for vertical viewing formats.

2. Motion Graphics & Visual Effects

• Design and execute dynamic motion graphics, lower thirds, titles, intros, and transitions to elevate overall production value.
• Create eye-catching pop-up animations, kinetic typography, and visual assets that align with current digital and internet-culture aesthetics.
• Stay updated on trending visual effects and seamlessly integrate them into daily video turnarounds.

3. Trend Adaptation & Ideation

• Bring a fresh, trend-focused perspective to the edit table, proactively suggesting audio tracks, visual hooks, and structural edits.
• Collaborate with creative producers and social media teams to brainstorm format ideas based on real-time internet trends.
• Swiftly adapt editing styles to match the changing algorithms and formats of major social media channels.

Preferred candidate profile

• Experience: 2+ years of proven professional experience as a Video Editor and Motion Graphics Designer, preferably within a digital media company, creative agency, or internet content startup.
• Technical Portfolio: A strong showreel or portfolio showcasing clean video cuts, rhythmic pacing, and modern motion graphics work is mandatory.
• Software Tooling: Mastery of Adobe Premiere Pro and Adobe After Effects. Working knowledge of Photoshop and Illustrator is highly preferred.
• Mindset: Under 30 years of age with an intuitive understanding of digital-native culture, viral memes, and internet video pacing.
• Execution Speed: Ability to work efficiently under tight deadlines within a fast-paced daily newsroom and entertainment lifecycle.
