Video Editor

About the Role:

Macsen Aviation is looking for a creative and detail-oriented Video Editor to join our in-house creative team. The ideal candidate should have at least 2 years of experience in the creative industry and be passionate about producing engaging, high-quality video content for digital platforms. You should be capable of transforming raw footage into compelling videos, creating attention-grabbing reels, and delivering content that aligns with our brand identity.

Key Responsibilities:

• Edit raw video footage into polished, professional-quality videos.
• Create engaging short-form content such as Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts, and other social media videos.
• Add creative transitions, motion graphics, text animations, sound effects, and music to enhance storytelling.
• Develop visually appealing edits with multiple camera angles and creative pacing.
• Collaborate with the marketing and creative teams to produce promotional and branding content.
• Ensure timely delivery of projects while maintaining high quality standards.
• Organize and manage video assets efficiently.
• Stay updated with the latest editing trends, social media content styles, and video production techniques.
• Take on dynamic responsibilities and adapt to changing business requirements, priorities, and operational needs as required.

Required Skills:

• Minimum 2 years of experience in video editing within a creative agency, production house, media company, or similar creative environment.
• Proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, DaVinci Resolve, Final Cut Pro, or equivalent editing software.
• Strong understanding of colour correction, audio synchronization, motion graphics, and visual storytelling.
• Excellent creativity and attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
• A strong portfolio showcasing previous video editing work is mandatory.
• Ability to shoot high-quality videos using DSLR, mirrorless cameras, or professional video equipment is a strong advantage and will be considered an added plus.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree or diploma in Multimedia, Mass Communication, Film Production, Animation, Graphic Design, or a related field.
• Knowledge of social media content strategy and platform-specific editing styles.
• Experience in social media management will be an added advantage.
• Ability to shoot videos using DSLR, mirrorless cameras, or professional equipment will be considered a strong plus.
• Basic knowledge of photography and lighting techniques is desirable.
