Vice Principal Cambridge Curriculum

Job purpose

The Vice Principal will support the Principal in leading academic operations, implementing the Cambridge curriculum, mentoring teachers, monitoring student progress, and maintaining high standards of teaching, learning, discipline, and safeguarding.

Key responsibilities

• Support the Principal in academic planning, school administration, and institutional development.
• Oversee the implementation of Cambridge Primary, Lower Secondary, IGCSE, and/or AS & A Level programmes, as applicable.
• Monitor lesson planning, classroom delivery, assessment practices, and students academic progress.
• Mentor teachers and conduct classroom observations, feedback sessions, and professional development programmes.
• Promote inquiry-based learning, critical thinking, independent learning, and student-centred teaching.
• Coordinate examinations, academic calendars, timetables, and curriculum mapping.
• Maintain effective communication with parents, teachers, students, and school management.
• Establish appropriate student discipline, wellbeing, inclusion, and child safeguarding practices.
• Analyse academic performance data and implement improvement plans.
• Support admissions, parent engagement, staff recruitment, and the overall growth of the school.

Preferred candidate profile

Qualifications and experience

• Master's degree in Education or a relevant academic subject; B.Ed. or equivalent recognised teaching qualification preferred or required as applicable.
• Strong experience in school teaching and academic administration.
• Prior experience with Cambridge International or another international curriculum is strongly preferred.
• Excellent leadership, communication, team management, and problem-solving skills.
• Familiarity with curriculum planning, assessment, teacher development, and school quality assurance.
