About this role
This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Vice President of Software Sales & Customer Success based in United States.
This is a senior commercial leadership opportunity for an accomplished software sales and customer success executive. The role will lead revenue growth, customer retention, expansion, and commercial execution across enterprise software and AI solutions. You will shape go-to-market strategy while strengthening the systems, processes, and operating rhythms that support scalable growth. Working closely with Product, Technology, Marketing, Operations, and executive leadership, you will connect customer needs with product and revenue priorities. You will also help commercialize new AI, automation, and workflow capabilities for sophisticated enterprise and financial services customers. As a market-facing leader, you will build executive relationships, represent the business externally, and strengthen its competitive position. The ideal candidate combines enterprise software expertise, financial services knowledge, operational discipline, and the ability to lead high-performing teams.
Accountabilities: Lead software sales strategy and execution across enterprise platforms, AI capabilities, automation solutions, and related products, driving pipeline generation, enterprise sales, renewals, expansion, and overall revenue growth.
Develop and lead customer success strategies focused on adoption, retention, renewals, measurable customer value, and long-term account expansion.
Strengthen commercial operating discipline through improved forecasting, pipeline visibility, accountability, sales processes, operating rhythms, and performance management.
Lead, coach, and develop sales and customer success teams by establishing clear expectations, success metrics, development plans, and performance standards.
Support the commercialization and launch of new software, AI, automation, and workflow solutions by aligning product readiness, customer requirements, market feedback, messaging, enablement, and revenue objectives.
Serve as a market-facing representative through customer meetings, executive briefings, conferences, webinars, panels, partner discussions, and industry events.
Strengthen sales messaging, presentations, demonstrations, competitive positioning, customer communications, and enablement materials for executive, technical, operational, and financial services audiences.
Provide market-informed input on pricing, packaging, positioning, competitive trends, customer requirements, and new revenue opportunities.
Partner cross-functionally with Sales, Customer Success, Product, Technology, Marketing, Operations, and executive leadership to align priorities and execute shared growth strategies.
Monitor commercial performance across revenue growth, pipeline quality, customer adoption, retention, renewals, expansion, forecasting accuracy, team effectiveness, and customer outcomes, using insights to drive continuous improvement.
Requirements
8–12+ years of experience in enterprise software sales, customer success, commercial leadership, revenue leadership, business development, or a related discipline.
Demonstrated experience leading sales and customer success teams within B2B SaaS, fintech, financial services technology, lending technology, AI, automation, or enterprise software environments.
Proven ability to grow software revenue, improve sales performance, strengthen customer adoption, and establish scalable commercial processes.
Experience selling to or supporting banks, credit unions, lenders, fintech companies, or other regulated financial institutions is strongly preferred.
Strong understanding of complex enterprise sales cycles, including discovery, stakeholder management, business case development, negotiation, implementation alignment, renewals, and executive relationship management.
Technical fluency across SaaS platforms, lending technology, workflow automation, integrations, data, AI capabilities, and enterprise software.
Ability to translate complex technology into compelling business value for executive, technical, operational, and financial services stakeholders.
Strong executive presence with excellent communication, presentation, writing, relationship-building, and cross-functional influence skills.
Experience representing an organization externally through customer engagements, executive briefings, conferences, panels, webinars, industry events, or strategic partner discussions.
Highly operational and accountable, with a demonstrated ability to turn strategy into measurable execution and results.
Strong leadership, coaching, commercial judgment, and team-development capabilities.
Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, marketing, technology, or a related field required; an MBA or relevant advanced degree is preferred.
Experience with lending, banking, fintech, loan origination, credit workflows, banking operations, or financial institution modernization is advantageous.
Experience commercializing new software products, automation solutions, workflow platforms, AI capabilities, or enterprise platforms is preferred.
Experience leading organizations through product launches, market repositioning, transformation, operational improvement, or accelerated growth is a plus.
A strong professional network across financial institutions, fintech companies, technology partners, industry associations, or strategic partners is desirable.
Familiarity with account-based marketing, strategic partnerships, enterprise SaaS pricing, platform sales, renewals, expansion, sales compensation, customer success operations, or sales enablement is beneficial.
