Job Summary

We are seeking a visionary and execution-focused Business Leader to establish and scale a world-class Student Counselling operation. This is a pivotal role responsible for building the counselling function from scratch—defining the strategy, hiring and training teams, implementing processes, ensuring regulatory compliance, and setting measurable success metrics.

The ideal candidate brings a mix of education industry expertise, operational leadership, and data-driven decision-making to shape a student-first experience that drives satisfaction, conversions, and revenue growth.

Key Responsibilities

       Define the vision, roadmap, and operating model for the student counselling vertical

       Collaborate with Product, Marketing, Sales, and Tech teams to align on student journey and experience

       Own and drive counselling-led revenue impact, optimizing for conversion rates and student lifetime value

       Aim to be the preferred choice of brand for students for counselling during the admission process  

       Drive monetization by delivering extra value to Shiksha clients, through increased share of wallet

       Collaborate with product and technology teams to optimize efficiency and develop relevant CRMs and AI based tools

       Lead the charter for the team with Shiksha senior management

       Drive the entire lifecycle of team building: from recruitment to training and performance management

       Set up performance metrics, reporting structures, and communication protocols

       Build and refine process playbooks and service protocols that can be replicated as the team grows

       Ensure all processes are compliant with all data privacy laws

Required Qualifications

• Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or related field
• 15+ years of experience with minimum 8-10 years of experience in a leadership role, preferably in ed-tech or B2C service industries
• Proven track record of managing large teams (150+ members)
• Strong experience in subscription-based business models
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Proficiency in CRM software and sales analytics tools
• Strong entrepreneurial mindset with ability to work with minimal supervision
• Exceptional ability to recruit, develop, and retain top talent
