About the Role:
A merchant banking division is hiring to lead and strengthen its deal placement function within Equity Capital Markets.
Key responsibilities:
- Lead placement of ECM transactions including IPOs, QIPs, rights issues, preferential allotments, OFS, block deals, pre-IPO placements and other capital-raising assignments
- Develop and execute investor outreach strategies to ensure successful placement
- Coordinate with issuers, promoters, institutional investors, family offices, HNIs, AIFs, PMSs, brokers and other intermediaries through the transaction lifecycle
- Work closely with internal execution, legal, compliance, research and syndication teams
- Arrange and participate in investor meetings, roadshows, management presentations and one-on-one discussions
- Build and maintain long-term relationships with institutional investors, family offices, HNIs, corporate houses and other market participants
Candidate profile:
- 5+ years of relevant experience in equity deal placements and investor relationships, with demonstrated experience managing and executing equity fundraising transactions.
- Strong understanding of equity capital markets, investor behaviour, transaction execution and regulatory requirements, coupled with excellent networking and relationship management skills.
