Vice President, AI & Digital Transformation

Position Summary:

Onity Group Inc. seeks a visionary technologist and AI leader to drive Innovation using emerging technologies and deliver on the digital transformation journey. Reporting to the CIO, this role is critical in shaping the technology landscape and ensuring that innovative technological solutions support our business strategies and enhance operational efficiency, customer engagement, and market competitiveness. The focus of this role will be on the experimentation, pilot, and deployment of AI/Digital tools & technologies such as Generative AI, Computer Vision, RPA, chatbots, and customer digital journeys in Servicing & Lending.

Job Functions and Responsibilities:

• Develop and execute a comprehensive technology architecture, digital, and AI strategy that aligns with the companys business objectives and supports a best-in-class operating model.
• Own the enterprise AI technology stack, architecture framework, and roadmap, ensuring scalability, resiliency, security, and business alignment.
• Lead AI, automation, and digital transformation initiatives across the organization, embedding technology into core business processes to improve speed, quality, customer experience, and operational efficiency.
• Continuously assess the current technology architecture and partner with executive leadership to ensure technology investments are aligned with business priorities, growth objectives, and operational needs.
• Identify, evaluate, and adopt emerging technologies and industry trends that can enhance business operations, reduce cost, improve customer and employee experience, and create competitive advantage.
• Leverage AI, automation, and digital technologies to design and implement business applications that improve cost per loan, borrower experience, cycle times, productivity, and overall operational performance.
• Bring deep expertise in AI architecture, robotic process automation, generative AI, computer vision/OCR models, machine learning models, conversational AI, and chatbot technologies.
• Lead the design and build-out of modern AI architectures, including scalable platforms, APIs, automation layers, data integration patterns, and AI-enabled business capabilities.
• Build strong coalitions across the enterprise by engaging key stakeholders, including business leaders, clients, partners, and vendors, to identify technology needs, prioritize opportunities, and drive adoption.
• Quickly understand internal client processes, current technology ecosystems, operational pain points, and industry best practices to shape practical, high-value solutions.
• Foster a culture of innovation, experimentation, and continuous improvement, with a strong focus on AI adoption and measurable business impact.
• Conduct enterprise roadshows, workshops, and education sessions to increase awareness of emerging technologies and promote practical use cases across the organization.
• Organize hackathons and innovation challenges to identify high-impact AI solutions and accelerate deployment of winning ideas into production.
• Coach, influence, and partner with business leaders to maximize the value of technology, improve digital maturity, and drive sustained transformation across the enterprise.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field.
• 20+ years of experience in IT, with a strong background in AI Technologies.
• Experience in Fintech, Financial services or lending technology an added plus.
• Good understanding of US mortgages (lending processes and the technology stack used in the mortgage industry, including AI solutions in processes, optical character recognition solutions, and customer-facing and point-of-sale applications) an added plus.
• Proven history of successfully leading large-scale IT projects and teams in a transparent, collaborative, global environment.
• Aggressive focus on strategy, execution, and results.
• Exceptional communicator who tells an effective story and aligns stakeholders to it.
• Tools such as Python, RPA tools such as Uipath, AWS Bedrock, other deep learning models, UI/UX technologies.
