Vice Chancellor

Key Responsibilities

• Academic Leadership: Oversee academic planning, curriculum development, and program reviews while upholding high educational and research standards.
• Administrative Management: Direct day-to-day operations, supervise senior management and deans, and manage faculty hiring, promotions, and tenure.
• Financial Oversight: Prepare operating budgets, secure grants, and equitably allocate financial resources across departments.
• Institutional Representation: Build partnerships with external organizations, interact with the media, and represent the university at official ceremonies.
• Governance Support: Advise and report directly to the governing body, such as the university council or board of governors.

Core Requirements

• Education: A Ph.D. or doctorate degree in a relevant academic discipline .
• Experience: Extensive senior leadership and managerial experience in higher education, often requiring 10 to 15 years in academic administration or as a professor.
• Skills: Strong strategic vision, exceptional communication and networking abilities, and expert problem-solving skills.
