Verbal Ability Faculty

Role & responsibilities

• Deliver engaging, interactive sessions on Reading Comprehension (Philosophy, Economics, Psychology, Science, Literature genres), Critical Reasoning, Grammar, Vocabulary, Para Jumbles, Summary, and Para Completion.
• Tailor training to distinct exam formats: - Deep inference-based Reading Comprehension and Critical Reasoning for CAT/XAT. - Contextual reading, vocabulary, tone analysis, and fast-paced comprehension for CLAT. - Grammar rules, usage, figures of speech, and verbal aptitude for IPMAT/CUET.
• Develop, review, and curate practice worksheets, topic tests, daily practice problem (DPP) sets, and full-length mock test questions aligned with current exam patterns.
• Conduct passage analysis workshops, vocabulary-building sessions, speed-reading strategies, and personalized score-improvement discussions.
• Provide continuous academic support, solve student queries in person and on online forums, and conduct doubt-clearing sessions.
• Collaborate with the central academic team to enhance study modules, test series explanations, and LMS digital assets.
  
  

Preferred candidate profile

• Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in English Literature, Journalism, Linguistics, Humanities, Communication, or an MBA/B.Tech with exceptional verbal command. (Candidates with high CAT VARC percentiles or GRE/GMAT top scores will be given strong preference).
• Experience: 2 to 6+ years of teaching experience in Verbal Ability/English for CAT, CLAT, IPMAT, GRE, GMAT, or Bank PO examinations.
• Subject Mastery: Superior command over English grammar, vocabulary, critical reasoning, tone/inference analysis, and reading comprehension techniques across diverse genres.
• Communication & Pedagogy: Flawless spoken and written English, persuasive presentation skills, and the ability to explain subtle linguistic nuances clearly.
• Tech Orientation: Comfortable using Smart Classrooms, digital pen tablets (Stylus/Wacom), Zoom, and LMS portals for online lectures.
