Validation Engineer

Top 3 mandatory (primary) skills:

- 2-3 years of experience in software validation (Windows and Linux), firmware validation.
- Strong understanding of Windows operating system internals and device driver concepts.
- Experience with scripting and automation using Python, PowerShell, or similar languages.
- Good understanding of:
o Sensors and systems
o Firmware-driver interaction
o ACPI and power management concepts
o Hardware/software integration

Good to have:

- Experience analyzing logs, traces, and debugging complex system issues.
- Experience working with Windows Driver Frameworks (KMDF/UMDF).
- Experience with Microsoft HLK/WHQL certification.
- Knowledge of I2C, I3C, SPI, UART, USB, or HID protocols.

JD:

- Validate sensor firmware, device drivers, and related software components on Windows and Linux platforms.
- Develop and execute functional, regression, reliability, and system-level validation plans.
- Perform sensor feature validation including:
o Accelerometer
o Gyroscope
o Magnetometer
o Ambient Light Sensor (ALS)
o Human Presence Detection (HPD)
o e Compass
o Inclinometer
o Sensor-based user experiences and motion features
- Debug driver, firmware, BIOS, and system-level issues using logs, traces, and diagnostic tools.
- Analyze failures and work closely with firmware, driver, BIOS, and platform engineering teams to drive issue resolution.
- Execute power-state validation, ACPI testing, reboot cycles, suspend/resume, and reliability testing.
- Support Microsoft HLK/WHQL certification activities and compliance testing.
- Validate SFH tools and applications SDK/DLLs, and diagnostic utilities.
- Create and maintain automated validation tests and CI/CD integrations.
