UTG CO., LTD- Drone Hardware R&D Engineer

Role & responsibilities

1. Design and develop drone hardware: Work on UAV hardware systems, including airframes, propulsion systems, electronic components, and flight controllers.
2. Build prototypes: Create and refine prototype drones and components for new designs and improvements.
3. Assemble drone systems: Put together airframes, motors, ESCs, batteries, wiring, and electronics into complete, working UAVs.
4. Integrate components and subsystems: Connect and configure flight controllers, sensors, communication modules, and payloads so they work reliably together.
5. Test hardware and performance: Run bench, ground, and flight tests to check stability, reliability, and performance.
6. Troubleshoot and fix issues: Diagnose hardware and integration faults found during testing or operation, and resolve them.
7. Improve existing designs: Use test results and feedback to upgrade the hardware, improving performance, durability, and efficiency.
8. Document and collaborate: Record designs, build steps and test results, and work with the wider UAV R&D team in South Korea.

Preferred candidate profile

• Hands-on experience in drone development or UAV integration
• Strong knowledge of electronics and circuits
• Mechanical design skills, including CAD
• Embedded systems experience, including microcontrollers and firmware basics
• Familiarity with airframes, propulsion systems, flight controllers and sensors
• Experience in prototyping, assembly, testing and troubleshooting
