We deliver bespoke solutions that address critical business challenges across the pharmaceutical value chain, including competitive intelligence, forecasting, commercial analytics, and advanced data science. As we continue to expand our Market Access capabilities, we are seeking an experienced Deputy Manager/Manager, US Payer Analytics to lead client engagements.
Why join PharmSight?

- Engage directly with senior client stakeholders and regulatory boards across geography
- Gain strong exposure to consulting-style problem solving, analytics delivery, and client-facing work
- Grow rapidly in a flat organization with meaningful learning and career progression opportunities
Role Overview The Deputy Manager/Manager, US Payer Analytics will independently own key analyses and deliverables within the US Payer Analytics function, working closely with senior leadership to translate payer data into insights on coverage, formulary, and reimbursement dynamics. This role combines hands-on analytic ownership with growing responsibility for shaping how the team measures and reports on market access performance and offers a clear path toward broader team and strategic leadership.
Key Responsibilities
- Independently lead and deliver core reporting frameworks, dashboards, and analyses supporting the US Payer Analytics roadmap, in partnership with Market Access and I&A Team.
- Contribute to and help maintain foundational measurement and KPI frameworks for market access performance.
- Partner directly with Data & Analytics teams to improve the availability, structure, and quality of payer data assets.
- Lead analyses supporting market access strategy and develop actionable recommendations on opportunities and emerging access risks, including:
- National and regional coverage assessment
- Formulary positioning
- Coverage evolution and trends
- Build out detailed, payer account-level analytics (e.g., health plan performance, PBM performance, IDN performance, regional payer performance), moving beyond traditional national-level reporting.
- Comprehensive reimbursement analytics capability that maps to the patient's journey to therapy.
Requirements Experience : 5–8 years of experience in pharmaceutical/healthcare commercial analytics, with meaningful depth in payer, market access, or reimbursement analytics.
Technical Skills : Strong proficiency with modern analytics and BI tools (e.g., SQL, Tableau/Power BI, Python or R) and common payer/claims data sources
Functional :
- Demonstrated experience building account-level (health plan, PBM, IDN, regional payer) analytics, not just national-level reporting.
- Working knowledge of US payers, formulary, coverage, and reimbursement dynamics (commercial, Medicare, Medicaid, PBM) is must
- Experience partnering with Market Access/Data & Analytics teams
Data Exposure : Experience working with SP / Claims / IQVIA / MMIT datasets. Hands-on experience working with payer-related data (e.g., claims, formulary, coverage policy, PA/appeals, or reimbursement data) is required
Analytical Skills : Strong problem-solving and analytical mindset with the ability to translate complex data into clear insights
Communication : Ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders and communicate insights clearly in a fast-paced consulting environment
