About the Role

Better Ledger Inc. is looking for a detail-oriented US Bookkeeper to join our accounting team. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience with US bookkeeping and be comfortable working with QuickBooks Online and QuickBooks Desktop.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day bookkeeping and accounting transactions
• Record and categorize income, expenses, bills, and payments
• Perform bank and credit card reconciliations
• Maintain accurate Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable records
• Assist with month-end and year-end closing
• Prepare basic financial reports and bookkeeping schedules
• Review transactions for accuracy and resolve discrepancies
• Maintain organized and up-to-date financial records
• Coordinate with the accounting team and clients when required

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of relevant bookkeeping experience
• Proficiency in QuickBooks Online and QuickBooks Desktop
• Basic understanding of US accounting and bookkeeping practices
• Good knowledge of bank reconciliation, AP/AR, and financial reporting
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Good communication and organizational skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Willingness to work on-site during the night shift
