Urologist Consultant

The Consultant Urologist will be responsible for diagnosing, treating, and managing diseases related to the urinary tract in both men and women and the male reproductive system. The role involves outpatient consultations, inpatient care, surgical procedures, emergency management, and coordination with other hospital departments.

Key Responsibilities

1. Examine patients and diagnose urological conditions, including kidney stones, prostate disorders, urinary infections, and bladder diseases.
2. Conduct OPD consultations and provide appropriate treatment plans.
3. Perform urological procedures and surgeries as per qualifications and clinical privileges.
4. Manage inpatient cases and provide pre-operative and post-operative care.
5. Handle urological emergencies, including urinary obstruction and acute retention of urine.
6. Interpret diagnostic reports, including ultrasound, CT scans, and relevant laboratory investigations.
7. Coordinate with radiology, nephrology, anaesthesia, and other departments for patient management.
8. Maintain accurate patient records, clinical documentation, and discharge summaries.
9. Ensure compliance with hospital protocols, infection control practices, and patient safety standards.
10. Counsel patients and their families regarding diagnoses, treatment options, surgical risks, and follow-up care.
