We are urgently looking for an experienced SAP ABAP BTP Lead with strong expertise in SAP ABAP, SAP BTP, ABAP Cloud, and modern SAP development technologies. The ideal candidate should have strong technical leadership experience and be comfortable working in a client-facing onsite environment.

Job Description

• Lead SAP ABAP and SAP BTP technical development activities across multiple projects.
• Design and develop scalable, secure, and high-performance SAP solutions using ABAP Cloud and SAP BTP.
• Provide technical leadership for RAP-based application development, CDS Views, OData services, and Fiori applications.
• Drive Clean Core development and extension strategies for SAP S/4HANA.
• Design and implement side-by-side extensions using SAP BTP.
• Lead integration solutions using SAP Integration Suite, APIs, OData, REST, and SOAP.
• Review technical designs, development approaches, coding standards, and solution architecture.
• Work closely with functional consultants, business stakeholders, architects, and offshore/onshore teams.
• Lead technical discussions with clients and provide recommendations for SAP modernization initiatives.
• Troubleshoot complex production issues and provide root-cause analysis and permanent solutions.
• Mentor ABAP/BTP developers and conduct code reviews and technical knowledge-sharing sessions.
• Ensure development follows SAP best practices, security standards, performance guidelines, and Clean Core principles.
• Participate in requirements analysis, estimation, technical design, development, testing, deployment, and post-go-live support.

• 14+ years of SAP ABAP development experience
• Strong hands-on experience with SAP BTP
• Excellent knowledge of ABAP Cloud
• Strong expertise in RAP (RESTful Application Programming Model)
• CDS Views and CDS Annotations
• OData V2 / V4
• SAP Fiori / SAPUI5
• SAP S/4HANA
• SAP BTP Extension Development
• SAP Integration Suite
• API Management and API Integration
• REST / SOAP Web Services
• BAPI / RFC / IDoc
• BAdIs and Enhancement Framework
• Custom Business Objects
• ADT / Eclipse
• Git / CI-CD – Preferred
• SAP Cloud Application Programming Model (CAP) – Preferred
• Strong understanding of Clean Core and SAP extensibility

Leadership & Soft Skills

• Strong technical leadership and architecture capabilities.
• Excellent client-facing and communication skills.
• Ability to lead distributed onsite/offshore development teams.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Experience in conducting technical reviews and mentoring developers.
• Ability to independently manage technical deliverables and coordinate with multiple stakeholders.
• Willingness to work onsite in Malaysia.
