Job Summary: Responsible for reviewing and processing insurance and patient correspondence received through lockbox services. The role involves separating documents, identifying payment and denial information, applying standard naming conventions, and routing documents to the appropriate AR, Payment Posting, Refund, or operational teams for further action. The position supports accurate payment posting, efficient account resolution, and timely handling of payer communications.

Key Responsibilities:

• Review insurance and patient correspondence received through lockbox services.
• Separate and organize documents into individual remits or correspondence files.
• Identify payments, denials, refunds, appeals, and other payer communications.
• Apply standard file naming conventions and ensure document accuracy.
• Route documents to Payment Posting, AR, Refunds, or other appropriate teams.
• Perform quality checks to ensure accurate processing and compliance with established procedures.

Ideal Candidate:

• Basic understanding of Medical Billing, Accounts Receivable (AR), or Payment Posting.
• Good attention to detail and document review skills.
• Ability to work with insurance remits, EOBs, denials, and payer correspondence.
• Should know how to use Adobe Reader & Excel.
